How do inkjet cartridges work?
There are two main methods used to push ink out of an inkjet cartridge. One method uses high heat to create a bubble that pushes a miniscule amount of ink out of a small hole in your inkjet cartridge, called a nozzle, on to the paper. The other method uses vibration to push the ink out of the nozzle and onto the paper. After this has happened several million times you will notice that your picture has successfully been printed.

How many times can an inkjet cartridge be refilled?
Some inkjet cartridges can be refilled more than 10 times - it depends on the inkjet cartridge. To keep your inkjet cartridge in good refilling condition do not run the inkjet cartridge until it is completely out of ink. This can burn out the print head which limits how many times it can be refilled. Make sure to bring the inkjet cartridge in as soon as you start to see streaks in your pages or your photos appear off-color - one color will always run out before the others.

Will using refilled inkjet cartridges void the printer manufacturer's warranty?
No, using refilled inkjet cartridges will not void the printer manufacturer's warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 prevents original manufacturers from, as a condition of the warranty, requiring the use of their inkjet cartridge. How much time does it take to refill an inkjet cartridge?
It takes approximately 5 minutes to refill an inkjet cartridge that is in good condition with the Ink-O-Matic Inkjet Refill System. When refilling inkjet cartridges by hand it takes approximately 10-15 minutes to refill an inkjet cartridge that is in good condition.

What can I do to help keep my inkjet cartridge in refillable condition?
Here are two tips that will help keep your inkjet cartridges in refillable condition. First, storing your inkjet cartridges with the print head down will help keep the print head moist and in proper working condition. Also, always bring your inkjet cartridge in to be refilled as soon as possible after removing it from the printer. This will prevent the ink from drying and damaging your cartridge. Will the print quality be the same caliber as with a new inkjet cartridge?
